Chris has been in the health and wellness field for over a decade, and CrossFit since 2008. He founded CrossFit 5150 in 2011. He built a small group of personal training members into a community of CrossFitters, and has changed the lives of hundred of people. He comes from a diverse background and has an amazing personal story of transformation and is able to connect with his clients in a unique way with their own challenges.

In addition to being the primary programmer for the gym, he has certifications in CF-Weightlifting, CF-Kids, CF-Endurance, CF-L2, and is also a certified massage therapist. Chris is a dog lover and you’ll see the love of his life “Lucy” running around the gym and pulling sleds and running along side him during workouts.

Coach Ben joined the CrossFit 5150 team in 2017 as co-owner along with Chris. He got his first sample of CrossFit in 2008 and developed a passion for training and coaching others ever since. He was Coach Chris’ very first CrossFit athlete. He has been a L-1 CrossFit Coach since 2013 and has trained and coached at numerous boxes around the south bay.

He has a passion for the special needs community and is the founder of Train 4 Autism Foundation, a non-profit organization he started in 2007. He is the director of Battleground SoCal, an annual fitness competition in Los Angeles which proceeds benefit a CF for Special Needs kids and their parents hosted at 5150.

Of all his accomplishments he is most proud of being a father of 2 daughters.

Coach Gordon Gray

Gordon earned his CF-L1 CrossFit trainer certificate in March 2017 at “The Ranch” in Aromas, CA.  He has been a member of CrossFit 5150 since September, 2012 and has competed as a Masters athlete at a variety of competitions, both locally and in the CrossFit Open and the CrossFit Lift-off.  He has also coached swimming and water polo.  Gordon was the Captain of the University of Illinois water polo team and earned All-Big Ten honors as a junior and senior many moons ago.

Coach “Raf”, Mo Rafi

Coach Rafi is a lifelong athlete, playing competitive hockey throughout high school and college. After his hockey career, he began competing in triathlons, completing multiple Olympic-distance triathlons, half Ironman races, marathons, and finishing a full Ironman in 2013. One of his triathlon buddies introduced him to CrossFit and he never looked back.
Rafi trains 5 days a week, follows a clean, but not strict diet. He enjoys Olympic lifting and received his USAW weightlifting certification in 2016. He has competed in multiple team and individual CrossFit competitions over the years, also competing in strong man events and Olympic lifting meets.
